How it works

Set the anchor
Drop the anchor point from your current GPS position the moment the anchor is set. NGA locks it as the centre of your watch circle.
Set the radius
Choose a swing radius and arc that match the anchorage, rode length, tide, and room around you. The circle is your safe area.
Keep watch
NGA watches GPS in the background and sounds a loud alarm if the boat leaves the swing circle. Live Activity and Apple Watch keep the status visible.

A loud alarm that works offline matters more at 02:00 than any subscription tier. NGA runs drift detection on device, so it keeps watching even with no signal.
Free by conviction: the worst moment to hit a paywall is the moment you actually need the alarm. NGA will not charge you at the worst possible time.
Background GPS watch depends on location permission and device battery. Keep the phone charged and plugged in overnight for long watches.
